John serves as Of Counsel with the firm of Hamilton Faatz, PC. He received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Iowa, where he graduated with honors, and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver. John has practiced law for more than forty years, bringing extensive experience and a wealth of knowledge to the firm.
John has extensive experience in multiple practice areas, including complex commercial and securities litigation and federal criminal defense. He has tried numerous jury cases in various state and federal courts. John has been a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado since 1991 and served on its Standing Committee for two terms from 1996-2002. Additionally, he was appointed by the Chief Judge to the Merit Selection Panel for Magistrate Judges for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado from 1998-2002. John has also contributed to legal education, lecturing on the Preparation of Trial Notebooks for the National Business Institute in 2001 and 2002, and on cross-examination at the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Trial Practice Institute in 1994.
