Short Biography

John serves as Of Counsel with Hamilton Faatz, PC. John received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Iowa, where he graduated with honors, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver. John has practiced law for over forty years and has extensive experience in multiple practice areas, including complex commercial and securities litigation and federal criminal defense, having tried many jury cases in various state and federal courts. Additionally, John has been a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado since 1991 and was appointed to its Standing Committee for two terms from 1996-2002.

John has extensive experience in multiple practice areas, including complex commercial and securities litigation and federal criminal defense. He has tried numerous jury cases in various state and federal courts. John has been a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado since 1991 and served on its Standing Committee for two terms from 1996-2002. Additionally, he was appointed by the Chief Judge to the Merit Selection Panel for Magistrate Judges for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado from 1998-2002. John has also contributed to legal education, lecturing on the Preparation of Trial Notebooks for the National Business Institute in 2001 and 2002, and on cross-examination at the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Trial Practice Institute in 1994.
